Aces & Eights Video Poker Review

All Slots Casino

Aces and Eights Video Poker is played just like any other video poker game with the exception that the winning Four of a Kind hand is paid out more than normal. Video Poker is a game that is played between you and the Dealer. You are dealt five cards in the first hand. Once you have received your first hand, you choose the cards to hold or discard. The cards you discarded are replaced with new ones from the deck. The objective of the game is to finish the game with the strongest hand. The payout is dependent on the value of the hand you are holding. The payout values are described in the table below:

Aces and Eights Video Poker offers a Doubling phase that allows you the chance to draw a card of higher value than the Dealer's card and if you are able to choose a card of higher value, your winnings from that hand are doubled. You are allowed to repeat the Doubling phase or you can choose to simply collect your winnings and continue the game. You can continue repeating the Doubling phase until you draw a card of lesser value than the Dealer's card and lose the hand, or until you reach the doubling limit that the casino has pre-set. When you have won a hand and want to participate in the Doubling Phase, the first thing you have to do is click the Double button. Then, five new cards are dealt, four face down, and the fifth, the Dealer’s card, is turned face up.

Select any one of the four remaining face down cards by simply clicking on the card of your choice. All four cards are turned over to show their values, with the card you selected showing as being highlighted. If the card you picked has a higher value than the Dealer’s card, you win double your original payout and can choose to either to Double again or to Collect your winnings. To collect your winnings, all you have to do is to click the Collect button. This will end your game and you are paid out the win amount as reflected in the Win box. If by chance your card is the same as the Dealer’s, the hand is a tie and your win amount remains the same and you are offered the option to either try again or just collect your winnings and continue with the normal game. If the card you pick is of a lesser value than the Dealer’s, the Doubling phase is over. You are returned to the Poker game and can continue to play a new hand. This game also comes loaded with all of your favorite Microgaming provided perks, including Expert Mode (which allows you to set up parameters to set the game to play itself), the Stats button (which provides you with detailed information about your current gaming session), not to mention the awesome graphics and sound effects. Especially if you are a fan of Microgaming already, you will surely love this great new game!
