Not every new iGaming software developer that comes on the scene brings with it great innovation and flair. In the case of the Arrow's Edge, there is really very little to get inspired about when looking at a number of the games currently listed in its small portfolio. It's worth noting that many of the games look retro, though that might not be something not done intentionally. It's more a commentary about the quality of said games. The Arrow's Edge has been in business since the middle of 2014. Most of its games and resources to date have gone to supporting two sister online casinos, Gossip Slots and Drake Casino. There is no indication that the company is making any significant inroads into a competitive industry. That might be an unfair assessment for a company that has only developed approximately 25 games, but nothing to this point indicates it’s interested in creativity or innovation. As should be expected, very little information is provided about licensing and ownership.
While some of the portfolio seems to have been developed using the latest in HTML5 technology, there is a small section of games that have not yet been converted to that format. Those games require a Java plugin in order to be played. There are indications that some of the older games used to reside with Cryptologic, presumably before patents and licensing expired. Otherwise, the remaining games should be accessible in instant play mode with a standard web browser. It's also foreseeable that these games could be integrated into a mobile app format.
As indicated, a majority of the games look average at best. It's hard to imagine this particular portfolio being able to compete with any of the major software developers out in the marketplace today. The portfolio is concentrated on video slots with a small selection of antiquated table games thrown in for good measure.
Aside from graphics and video features that leave a lot to be desired, the gameplay features are rather generic with very little emphasis placed on bonus features. It's nice that the company has tried to develop games that cover a variety of themes. Also, they have avoided having all its games developed in the same reel and pay-line format. The slots can be divided into two product lines, Super Slots and Cash Grab Slots.
The Super Slots games seem a bit more modern with better graphics and an occasional bonus feature and some progressive jackpots. The Cash Grab Slots are the ones that look unattractive and outdated by today's standard. The best games of the lot would seem to be The Winning Dead, Aruban Nights, 4th & Goal and one of their latest releases Alice in Dreamland.
Overall, it's easy to understand why online casino operators might be reluctant to buy off on the entire portfolio.
Arrow's Edge is a games developer with over 20 video slots in its portfolio. They started out in 2014 and have two main product lines: Super Slots and Cash Grab Slots. They focus on different themes, offer multiple payline and reel configurations, and are available for play at select casinos only.
