ComGate

How It Works?

Like any other payment gateway, such as Trustly and PayU, it allows to make payments using a banking method of your choice. This includes services from Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, Moneta, Sberbank, mBank, Raiffeisen Bank, Era, UniCredit, and Fio banka. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cover any e-wallets, such as Skrill, Neteller or PayPal. As far as currencies go, they accept CZK, EUR and other currencies.

As usual, to make a payment you just have to visit the cashier, from where you’ll be given a choice of the banking provider and need to fill in the necessary fields to proceed to the checkout.

Mobile payments are accepted as well, including all major telecommunication operators in the Czech Republic, Poland and the Slovak Republic. International customers can use this service too, as part of ComGate’s Premium SMS product.

Security

ComGate is certified and supervised by the CNB, the central bank of the Czech Republic. There’s no info on whether customers’ details are shared with the seller or kept private, however, bank-level encryption is used at all times.

Banking

ComGate charges a transaction fee of 0.99% from the total amount, plus fixed 3 CZK. This seems to apply to the seller and not the buyer. To be sure, verify the final payment details with each merchant at the checkout for any additional charges.

To date, ComGate’s payment gateway is used only by a handful of online gaming sites, including PlayMillion, Euro King and Luna Casino. Given their local approach and regional changes in the gaming regulation, we may see more operators offer their payment services to local customers in the future.

Summary

ComGate is a company based in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which offers anything from warehouse logistics to payment gateways. Payment methods cover Visa, MasterCard and Maestro credit and debit cards, as well as local banks. This includes mobile payments.
