How It Works?
To become a club member, visit the national Diners Club website and fill in the application form. Applicants must have a bank account, be at least 18 years old and own a set income, which is £20,000 for Britons, for instance.
As a DCI card owner you benefit from interest-free credit, dedicated call centres, and a rewards programme. That’s especially handy if you travel, as they have exclusive lounges in more than 700 airports worldwide. This also includes unique partnerships, including events and gastronomical experiences at the world’s finest restaurants.
To use your Diners Club card for online payments, look for the logo and proceed with filling in the payment fields in the cashier as with any other credit or debit card.
As you use the card, you also collect loyalty points, which can be exchanged for rewards, such as shopping vouchers. Diners Club also has a native mobile app that you can download for free for more offers and assistance
Diners Club is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which assures that the company maintains a secure environment.
While there are many privileges for members of the card, there’s a fixed annual fee or maintenance cost of around €50. Currency exchanges and transactions may come at an additional cost that’s set by the Diners Club which operates in your region.
As far as iGaming goes, Diners Club payments, alike Visa and MasterCard, are usually subject to a small fee. Do your own diligence and confirm that prior to the checkout directly with the merchant or operator.
Diners Club International is part of The Discover® Global Network, which is the 3rd largest payments network in the world. Over 70 million people own one of their plastic cards and spend on average 2x more than Visa or MasterCard owners.
