How It Works?
First, to start using Ezi-Pay you need to fill in an application. There are two ways to do that, one of which is the optional pre-approval online form, which helps with the registration process by speeding up the process and sets the payment limit to $5,000. The approval can only be finalised within two months by a retailer and with a purchase, because the deposit amount and the repayment plan varies by retailer.
The second way to apply for the plan is in-store, with over 1,500 retailers who accept Ezi-Pay. The full list can be found on the official site and filtered by location.
Once the application is confirmed, the user also gets access to their online database, including purchase information and credit schedule. Note that only permanent Australian residents can apply for one.
Once you’re all set up, you can make a purchase with an initial deposit, with the remaining balance then paid off through direct debits to your Ezi-Pay payment plan on a fortnightly basis. As mentioned earlier, the plan comes without an interest fee.
As far as security is concerned, there’s not much Ezi-Pay has to offer other than secure application and being part of a publicly-listed group that dates back to 1988.
While Ezi-Pay users don’t have to worry about interest fees, they do charge for the signup and repayments processing. The establishment fee ranges between $35 and $90, whereas the monthly account keeping fee is around $3.50. Then for each payment they charge additional $2.95, or $22 if it’s done over the purchase repayment period.
The above fees are automatically included in one’s credit and payment schedules. Other than that, Ezi-Pay won’t charge you any additional fees. Be sure to double-check that with your merchant or online casino, if applicable.
Ezi-Pay or Certegy Ezi-Pay is an Australian company that offers payment plans as an alternative to credit cards and loans. Its biggest selling proposition is that its members don’t have to pay any interest fees and can use it with a wide range of merchants.
