GVC Holdings Extends Contract with NYX

GVC Holdings PLC has been the developer’s long-time partner, making use of their Open Platform System (OPS) since 2014. With a total gaming revenue of nearly €900m per annum, the group consists of prominent brands like bwin, Sportingbet, Party Poker, Party Casino and Foxy Bingo. The sites are currently operating in more than 18 countries, including Italy, Spain, and New Jersey, where GVC provides the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa with its iGaming platform. This means NYX Gaming Group gets their foot in the door and expand their worldwide presence even more.

As NYX Chief Commercial Officer David Flynn put it: “GVC are a true leader in the gaming industry and their strategy for growth and business development is impressive. This partnership is extremely important to NYX, representing a firm endorsement of NYX OGS and emphasizing the vital role it plays for the industry’s most successful operators around the world. It also reaffirms NYX’s commitment to building our partnerships and maximizing the relationships across a number of different areas to deliver optimum value to our clients.”

One of the reasons GVC Holdings opted to expand their agreement with the Las Vegas headquartered provider is to improve the casino and games offering on its flagship sports betting and gaming site bwin, and possibly other market-leading brands like Sportingbet.

Open Gaming System or OGS, is an all-in-one platform solution that gives access to more than 1,000 titles, from NYX’s proprietary games developer NextGen Gaming, and over 40 other smaller and bigger third-party studios, including Amaya, Aristocrat, Nektan, Realistic Games, Blueprint Gaming, and Leander. This should significantly complement the offering from Microgaming, NetEnt, iSoftBet, SG Interactive, which many bwin members get to play already. And thanks to a deal less than a month ago, GVC’s Italian-facing gaming brands, like bwin.it and Gioco Digitale, now also benefit from the bespoke games collection powered by Yggdrasil Gaming.

Here’s what GVC Holdings Chief Product Officer Liron Snir commented: “This is another big step towards our objective to build the best casino in the market. NYX are a premium developer and we are thrilled to be able to offer their highly popular games to our players.”
