The Jurassic Park slot, based on the tremendously successful movie of the same name, has been one of Microgaming’s most successful branded slot games to date and was launched in August, 2014, soon after the group signed a franchise deal with Universal Brand Development in January of 2014.
Microgaming is now thrilled to announce that it has signed a new licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development that will see it follow up on its Jurassic Park slot game by releasing a new title in the Jurassic Park series.
The software provider’s new slot game, Jurassic World, will be based on the blockbuster movie that was released by Universal Pictures as the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park series that tore onto cinema screens in the summer of last year, 22 years after the original Jurassic Park movie. The film, according to Microgaming, had the second-biggest worldwide opening weekend of all time and is currently the fourth-highest grossing movie in history.
This latest deal with Universal Brand Development will see Microgaming develop a Jurassic World slot game. A date for the release of this new slot game has, however, not yet been announced by Microgaming.
The Jurassic World movie has to date generated in excess of $1.6 billion in box office revenue and is said to have superb visual effects, high standard musical score and action-packed scenes. Universal Pictures is reportedly planning to release a sequel to the movie, Jurassic World, in 2018.
Until such time as the award-winning software group releases the Jurassic World slot game, fans of Jurassic Park can enjoy playing the slot game at online casinos powered by Microgaming.
