Playtech has just unveiled yet another branded video slot. This time their new release takes players back in time to the year 1987, when the American romantic drama Dirty Dancing won the hearts of many and was the first film to sell more than one million home videos.
The new game comes hot on the heels of other recent branded releases such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and American Dad!, not to mention the many DC Comics superhero games that came out earlier this year. Created just in time for the 30th anniversary, the new game is licensed to Playtech by Lionsgate and is the perfect nostalgia for many parents.
Dirty Dancing Slot Features
Other than its classic dance romance that’s brought to life with many memorable scenes and the ballroom soundtrack, players would be pleased to find not one but two progressive jackpots. Both the Johnny and Baby jackpot can be triggered only within the Dirty Dancing Jackpot Game, activated with special Jewels.
Other Dirty Dancing video slot features include Whirling Wilds that create up to six random wilds, plus a free spins bonus with stacked and expanding wilds. All that can be enjoyed in one’s favorite setting on desktop or mobile thanks to the omni-channel technology. For a first-hand experience, the game, along with the newly-announced Norse-themed Ice Cave slot, will be out across licensed Playtech operators in the very near future. For now, avid players are invited to try their novel Heart of the Frontier, with a heroic Wild West theme and even more gun-slinging stacked wilds.
That being said, here’s how popular James Frendo, Casino Director, Playtech believes this game will be: “Dirty Dancing is such an iconic brand that it was an obvious choice for us to transform into a leading branded slot. The game is sure to be an instant hit with our licensees’ players both old and new.”
Peter Levin, President of Interactive Ventures and Games, Lionsgate, also added: “Thirty years after its arrival, the original ‘nobody puts Baby in a corner’ Dirty Dancing remains a deeply memorable classic that helped define a generation of cinema. We’re proud to work with great partners like Playtech to leverage our unique properties to connect with fans around the world.”
