VueTec was founded in 1999 by Donald Bursill, a man who had spent much of the 1980s and 90s working in the land-based casino industry in Sydney, Australia.
He formed the company along with a group of industry experts and programmers because he had a vision of bringing live casino gambling to the Internet. In 2002, the company successfully launched a new software platform that could indeed support live casino gambling through online casino sites.
Later in the decade, the company was relocated to within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man in an effort to position itself within the heart of the iGaming industry.
The name of the software platform is appropriately Distance Gaming. What makes this software and the overall approach so unique is the fact the games are streamed right from a live public casino. That’s done instead of a studio environment like many of the newer live gaming software developers are putting out into the market.
By working closely with gaming hardware manufacturers, VueTec is now able to use sensors and strategically placed cameras in order to "televise" the live gaming action right through to online casino sites.
The software has been updated through the years, so that all functionally is being run through the latest software development technology. This assures that the VueTec software platform is accessible in instant play mode and through the use of a mobile app with mobile devices.
It is worth noting that the software has a chat function that allows iGaming participants to interact with the live dealers if they so desire. That's a nice little touch to further enhance the notion of live gaming.
All of the company's software technology has been submitted for fairness testing with the independent auditing labs at eCOGRA.
While live gaming is considered to be the company's primary product line, it is worth noting that they have also developed a small selection of video slots and table games to enhance the overall software platform.
That said, it's the live casino games that online casino owners are interested in using. Currently, the live feeds are set up in a live casino for the following games: roulette, several variations of blackjack, Texas Hold'em and Punto Banco/Baccarat with more games slated for the future.
For those who may be wondering, the cameras are positioned at each relevant table so that any of the players from the live casino who don't want to be part of the streaming process can select seats that are out of range of the cameras.
VueTec is an iGaming developer, which has become well-known in the live-dealer niche. It’s operated from the UK and the most important element that sets it apart from others is the fact that the Live games are streamed from real brick and mortar casinos. That’s all thanks to Distance GamingTM.
