How It Works?
To start using ecoPayz, you need to sign up for an ecoAccount or apply for one of the prepaid cards, plastic (ecoCard) or virtual (ecoVirtualcard). Anyone can do this, without having a banking account. The processing is instant and the account is ready to use right away. It can be funded via online banking, credit or debit cards, as well as local services. This includes iDEAL, Giropay, eKonto, Visa, MasterCard, paysafecard, SEB, the Neosurf voucher, Moneta.ru and many other popular banking options.
Once the account is funded, you can pay for goods and services online where ecoPayz is accepted, in over 45 currencies. Since it’s a prepaid account, you cannot spend more money than you have at a time.
Note that the Classic ecoAccount has multiple account limits, which can be increased by upgrading it to a Silver level. To do that, just verify your identity by submitting relevant documents over the existing account.
For users on the go, ecoPayz also has a native mobile app that offers a convenient way to manage the ecoAccount anywhere you are.
ecoPayz claims to use the latest security and fraud protection technology, including the 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption and anti-fraud security solutions. Its single-use virtual card and the 2-Step Verification are a good way to leverage one’s security as well.
Upon payments, both financial (including the payment method) and personal information remains private and is never shared with the third-party when making the payment. That said, ecoPayz is also complying with the Payment Card Industry and Data Security Standards (PCI and DSS), and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Finally, ecoPayz is operated by PSI-Pay Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011.
There are 5 levels of ecoAccount, with varying currency conversion fees and charges for withdrawals to a bank account (between €2.90-€10). Customers also should mind the credit card and bank wire deposit fees. Currency conversion and cash service fees apply in both ecoCard and ecoVirtualcard instances as well. Additional charges could apply at checkout, so double-check that with the merchant or operator directly.
ecoPayz is a payment solutions provider that issues prepaid plastic MasterCards, known as ecoCards, and prepaid virtual cards or ecoVirtualcards, both of which are linked to the ecoAccount. There’s no bank account needed, adding a level of security and anonymity to each transaction.
